So much for "Buy Nothing New Month"

Whoops - only found out about this AFTER I had been shopping (today)... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Plus I have birthday money which I've been thinking about spending for a while... so today I went to Saba on their last day of the sale and got a gorgeous shirt dress in an olive colour for $120 down from I think $300. Will post picture soon.

But shout out to the good sallys (Salvation Army) for encouraging us to be thrifty, environmentally conscious and fashionable. I have thrown out/ donated/ Ebay sold so many clothes lately my wardrobe is on the bare side. I might even go for a bit of thrifting in my lunch hour soon. I generally struggle with the patience to rifle through, and the vision to get the good stuff. But, it's probably a learned skill.

While at Saba I looked out for these gorgeous dresses (http://www.saba.com.au/) but they didn't have them or not in my size. Shame!

Aren't they devine?

Today am wearing Red Silk Dress from Witchery that I bought about two months ago. I love it love it love it. However, when I was draining my hot chocolate this morning I missed my mouth (SERIOUSLY) and have now got an attractive brown pattern down it. God I hope it comes out ok. Any cleaning tips?

Hubby has bought me for my birthday some gorgeous gym gear/ clothes - to inspire me now that I've joined. Tonight's the night!

The Clothing Exchange

Wow look what I found.

http://www.clothingexchange.com.au/

So excited - bought a ticket for the Perth clothing swap in October. Now I can start rifling through those bags of things I've been *meaning* to put on eBay and find my favourites for the swap.

Very naughty yesterday... bought three pairs of shoes OMG!!! Including a slouchy pair of grey boots. I had intended to wear them with a t-shirt dress/tunic and loud tights today but when I tried the dresses on they were either too short for the office or too long for the outfit. So I'm wearing a faux-wrap David Lawrence dress instead. It might be a strange mix of conversative office wear on top and trendy casual on bottom... so I will try with the casual tomorrow on my day off.

I do apologise for the dodgy camera phone photos at odd angles... at some point I'll get properly organised with a real camera, tripod and clear background space... yeah right!

ebay wins again

Well I started looking around for clothes swaps or swap meets - not much going in Perth except swap meets with 5.30am starts. Not fricking likely! So Ebay gets the girl again. I'm selling the pink DKNY top and orange MEL shirt that I bought on there not long ago - nice items but not what I was looking for. I want soft sheer button shirts that I can wear under a sleeveless dress. These are not them! But they might work in someone else's wardrobe.

the slow return

Well since my last post, I've fallen pregnant, had a baby, lost more weight (breastfeeding rocks for being able to eat chocolate and still lose weight) and returned to the work force part time. Now that my gorgeous baby is a little easier to deal with, my interest in fashion is returning.

Also, as I've almost finished breastfeeding, I need to pay more attention to my diet and exercise. Starting to check out gyms and bike routes to work.

I'm looking for ideas: thinking about a clothes swap, or some other way of getting my clothes offloaded and being able to get some new (to me) threads. I just find Ebay too clumsy these days for either selling or buying.

Today I'm wearing a Myer Basque label dress - tulip style with a vibrant purple, black and white pattern.

I've covered it with an Emerge cardigan and a wide, stretchy black belt, black tights and heels. The style of dress adds a bit of bulk to my booty but as I don't have a huge booty, I don't mind. It's all a bit of fun.

Also featuring the Celestial Design bracelet that lovely Celeste gave to celebrate Holly's birth. Very Chanel like... hope I can find a link to her!
