snapped

This cheeky monkey was trying on my cami top while I was getting dressed and needed a snap.

It's the weirdest thing - my photo seems the right way around when I view it, but when I upload it it is always 90 degrees the wrong way. Oh well - she's upside down for now until I can fix it!

Red Dress

Haven't done much with this outfit today, or my hair for that matter... but I did brush it!

Threadswap

New website to watch for: http://www.threadswap.com.au/.
It needs more action but the idea is great. I am going to have a look through my clothes soon.

I'm thinking I want to lose:

1. The studded coloured top.
2. The Portmans silk floral oversized top.

and see what's available.

First full day back at work

Ok so these photos are going to be dodgy. If I'm going to continue this (I think I will) I will need to get sorted out properly.

But, to get the momentum - I just took quick snaps with my phone in the mirror this morning.

P.S. I actually blowdried my hair last night and tried to style it this morning. I borrowed SIL's hairdryer and having a good one makes a big difference. I must get a new one as I'm more likely to bother if it is quicker and more effective.

Just to start again

Here is my Review dress I bought a few months back. It looks better on - very Betty Draper or ALice in Wonderland grown up tea party yada yada. I would wear it LOTS except I have one very messy one year old daughter - so I try to keep it for special occasions or when I'm baby free! So I've only worn it once or twice so far.

Ok so I'm not much of a blogger (thus far) and I don't exactly have a readership anyway, but by Golly I'm big on reading the blogs. And all the other bloggers are asking about their style NY resolutions... I would like to take more care with my hair. Maybe I'll make a new resolution each month. Would I actually manage to post monthly? My track record would suggest otherwise.

So much for "Buy Nothing New Month"

http://nothingnew.com.au/wordpress/

www.nothingnew.com.au

Whoops - only found out about this AFTER I had been shopping (today)... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Plus I have birthday money which I've been thinking about spending for a while... so today I went to Saba on their last day of the sale and got a gorgeous shirt dress in an olive colour for $120 down from I think $300. Will post picture soon.

But shout out to the good sallys (Salvation Army) for encouraging us to be thrifty, environmentally conscious and fashionable. I have thrown out/ donated/ Ebay sold so many clothes lately my wardrobe is on the bare side. I might even go for a bit of thrifting in my lunch hour soon. I generally struggle with the patience to rifle through, and the vision to get the good stuff. But, it's probably a learned skill.

While at Saba I looked out for these gorgeous dresses (http://www.saba.com.au/) but they didn't have them or not in my size. Shame!

Aren't they devine?

Today am wearing Red Silk Dress from Witchery that I bought about two months ago. I love it love it love it. However, when I was draining my hot chocolate this morning I missed my mouth (SERIOUSLY) and have now got an attractive brown pattern down it. God I hope it comes out ok. Any cleaning tips?

Hubby has bought me for my birthday some gorgeous gym gear/ clothes - to inspire me now that I've joined. Tonight's the night!

The Clothing Exchange

Wow look what I found.

http://www.clothingexchange.com.au/

So excited - bought a ticket for the Perth clothing swap in October. Now I can start rifling through those bags of things I've been *meaning* to put on eBay and find my favourites for the swap.

Very naughty yesterday... bought three pairs of shoes OMG!!! Including a slouchy pair of grey boots. I had intended to wear them with a t-shirt dress/tunic and loud tights today but when I tried the dresses on they were either too short for the office or too long for the outfit. So I'm wearing a faux-wrap David Lawrence dress instead. It might be a strange mix of conversative office wear on top and trendy casual on bottom... so I will try with the casual tomorrow on my day off.

I do apologise for the dodgy camera phone photos at odd angles... at some point I'll get properly organised with a real camera, tripod and clear background space... yeah right!
